Dr. Michael Scharp

Dr. Scharp is a scientist working since 1994 at IZT Institut für Futures Studies and Technology Assessment. He has studied chemistry (PhD) and philosophy (Magister).

His areas of specialization include: services of the housing sector, sustainable services, sustainable development especially in the housing sector, methods and instruments of innovations (benchmarking, service engineering), future studies and environmental education.

His main projects have been: “Environmental Education for Children and Teenagers” (funded by Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, 2003-2005), “Service Engineering for the Housing Sector” (funded by Federal Ministry of Education and Research, 2001-2004), “„Cost-efficient and cheap building“ (funded by Federal Office of for Building and Planning, 2002-2004), „Benchmarking for the Housing Sector“ (funded by Federal Ministry of Education and Research, 1999-2002) and “Sustainable Building and Living” (funded by Schwäbisch Hall-Stiftung ‘bauen-wohnen-leben’, 1999-2002).
